Church Partnership Scheme

The High Wycombe Circuit has committed to raising £5,000 for a project in Burkina Faso through the Christian Aid Church Parternship Scheme. Under this scheme every £1 we raise is matched by a further £3 from the European Union.

Burkina Faso is the 7th poorest country in the world. Much of its northern provinces are based within the Sahel region just south of the Sahara desert and the people are at the sharp end of climate change. It is a landlocked country covering an area about half the size of France.

We have now raised over £4,500.

A number of events are being planned for later in the year. Some that we know about already are:

Saturday 21st August from 10 to 12 noon at Naphill - "Coffee morning and More" (cakes, plants, raffle and bric a brac)

Friday 12th November at 7.30pm at The Avenue - A Grand Auction of Promises.
